Who We Are
"We know dogs are man's best friend and we want to help our best friends as best as we can. We feel blessed to be able to help support our communities." ~ LeeAnn Zaner
LeeAnn's Rescue was created by LeeAnn Zaner and her husband, Kirk Zaner, when they realized the need for first responders who encountered injured, sick, homeless, abused, and breed specific dogs in the scope of their duties. These dogs would have very little chance of survival as most of the shelters in this area are not equipped to medically treat dogs and are typically filled to capacity.
LeeAnn's Rescue began assisting any dog in which a first responder reached out to them about, day or night. This included: assisting homeless with spaying/neutering and vaccines; treating injured dogs when officers were called to scenes; and taking in breed specific dogs who were in need of a home.
Now, as a 501(c)(3), we are able to broaden our mission and are taking in dogs within the Garland County area who are in need of assistance.
LeeAnn's Rescue Continuing Leo's Legacy, Inc ("LeeAnn's Rescue") is a nonprofit corporation formed, organized, and operated in accordance with the meaning and provisions of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
