Adopted Rescues

Here are some of my friends that have been adopted by loving families! Happily ever after... ~ Leo

Bandit (Adopted July 2023)

Bandit is just lucky with the Todd family/Rebecca Todd adopting him. He is joining their other pups and has already made himself at home living his best life. These adopters are the best. They are giving him everything he deserved his first year, but nothing he ever had.

Welcome to our crazy pack Bandit Todd!

You won’t believe how this sweet boy came to be a part of our family! Please consider helping the rescue that saved our boy save more lives! Any donation, regardless of amount is GREATLY appreciated and helps save lives!! ~ Rebecca Todd

Ralphie (Adopted July 2023)

Ralphie has been an amazing first dog for Chloe Porter. She reports he's perfect in every way. He minds, loves, plays hard, and is a great friend to her. He is traveling with her to be a Razorback in Fayetteville! Ralphie will forever be blessed by your sweetness and loving heart Chloe. Thank you for adopting Ralphie.

Hans (Adopted June 2023)

Hans is a senior Belgian Malinois who suffered a heat stroke. HSAS responded to an emergency call and found him collapsed at a residence. No one knew where he belonged. He was treated with emergency care at THAH and after two days of no one claiming we pulled him for a medical foster at Ms. Penny's house. (You all remember Ms. Penny Mcclard who adopted Enzo from HSAS. She stepped up again and volunteered to take care of this senior boy.) His stray hold ended and still no one claimed him.

After all the care she gave Hans, she fell in love with him and made it official, Hans has joined her doggy senior retirement village. I couldn't think of a better place for him to live out the remainder of his years.

Enzo (Adopted May 2023)

Enzo was a stray brought into the City of Hot Springs Animal Services and was absolutely pitiful when he came in. It was determined he is partially blind and deaf. Ms. Penny has already cleaned him up, taken him to the vet, and had him treated.

This guy is believed to be 10-12 years old. We hope with the care he's now going to receive, he will have many more years of happiness. We know he's in the best possible place.

Ms. Penny is an amazing adopter who usually only houses senior and disabled dogs (the forgotten ones). She has her own little "doggy retirement village" as she calls it.

Ginger (Adopted May 7, 2023)

Sometimes it takes a while to be sure. We work with families to make sure our rescues are the right fit for them. After a week of farm life, Ginger has been adopted!

It took a few days for her to ease into a completely different lifestyle. Ginger didn't know what to think about the grass under her feet, places to roam, other animals, and so many different smells.

Mrs. Andrea reported: "She is loving the outdoors and the comfort of lap snuggles. She went for a walk to the creek today but was not interested in swimming, yet. She is doing so much better pottying outside. She loves her new toys and her dog siblings. She also tries to play with the cat and is pretty gentle.  We are loving having her in our family."

Jed (Adopted April 17, 2023)

We work closely with our local animal control to pull adoptable "Pitbull breeds" since they can only be pulled by non-profits. They had the smartest, most well-behaved boy come in as a stray. After two weeks of advertising him and no one claiming him, we knew we had to pull him. He deserved so much more than to not come out of a shelter.

We didn't even get to tell you guys about him before a friend, Mrs.Trina told us she wanted this handsome guy. So world, meet the smartest, most well-behaved gentleman, JED!  She reports Jed is the most well-behaved and well-mannered dog she's ever owned. Jed has a fur sister, Maggie, and Daddy as well. Welcome home, Jed!

Yes, he does look like, "yours truly." Most handsome dogs do! ~ Leo

Molly (Adopted April 15, 2023)

Apparently, country living is the way to be! Molly spends a lot of her time "front yard sitting" and playing with the little human at the house.

So today, it's official. Molly has been adopted! We had some bumps in the road but knew she needed a family so badly, and the right one had to come along. As always, when we feel like we won't ever find the right match, here comes the door flying open with someone, the right someone.

This is a lesson for us to not feel hopeless, but always hopeful, the right person will come at the right time. We can't be more happy for Molly and the Wallace family and that good ole' country livin'!

Hank (Adopted March 2023)

In August 2022, officers were dispatched on a weekend to a Beagle who had been struck by a vehicle and had been laying in a yard for over 18 hours. His back was broken. He was put on a pain patch, IV fluids, and a high dosage of steroids. After two weeks, we were told the prognosis was grim as he hadn't stood. On the day he was to be euthanized, HE STOOD!

He immediately was fostered by one of our foster parents and they fell in love and decided to adopt! He began not only to walk, but run, AND jump! After his last monthly check-up, we were told there was still no medical reason Hank could walk, besides pure determination to live and the love he was receiving.

Unfortunately, a few weeks ago, things changed. Our contract requires if for any reason our rescues can't stay at their forever home, they must be returned to us.

Hank came back but sure didn't stay with us long. He is now with a wonderful family and continues to enjoy life.

Ollie (Adopted March 2023)

Ollie was abandoned in the middle of a roadway during a storm. He was so scared and a nice woman stopped her car and traffic to try and help him and he looked at her pleading for help with his eyes. She opened her door and he jumped in. He's now living the lake life with mom (Shelley) and dad (Joel) and a big brother (Oscar)!

Athena

Cane Corso, adopted by the Parrott family.

Maisel (formerly Mabel)

Happily adopted by the Gates family in Nov 2022. She was located freezing in the streets of Hot Springs. She was infested with parasites but recovered quickly after we gave her major TLC.

Goose

Goose was located in someone's yard practically comatose, with a severe skin infection, malnourished, and very sick. He was happily adopted by the Jordan family in October 2022.

Jefferson (Foster Fail)

Our foster fail, Jefferson. He had parvo when we got him. He spent 2 weeks in doggy ICU and barely survived in 2019, now he's the baby of our crew. "Love my Bro!" ~ Leo

Frank

Mabre

Ranger

Rue

Maggie

Luna
(was Sassy)

Miles

Miles

Mabree  was found in an explosion. He was laying in a pile huge of trash. He was scared, sickly and looked as if he had been attacked by other dogs. Megan adopted him.

Miles was the dog that was laying in the elements all winter and was traveling from Texas Roadhouse to Pizza Hut on Central and no one could catch him until one of our officers lassoed him. He was heartworm heavy, but we paid for all his treatment and now he's a happy farm dog with the Hackney family.
